Why organic?

What is organic farming?

Organic farming differs from conventional methods of agriculture in that no pesticides are used in the process. Not only does this make for healthier produce, it also makes for healthier soils to keep on growing in this way.

Organic farming favours renewable resources and recycling, returning to the soil the nutrients found in waste products. Our methods avoid the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, and instead, we use a range of techniques that help sustain ecosystems and reduce pollution.

Organic farming respects the environment's own systems for controlling pests and disease in raising crops, and cutting out the pesticides encourages wildlife.

The healthy choice

Organic is the only fresh and unprocessed option to choose from, which ultimately means a much more healthy diet and of course it tastes great. Organic produce has proven to have higher levels of vitamins and minerals than conventional produce and is free from being Genetically Modified.

By choosing organic you are also choosing to buy seasonal veg which is much better for you as everything is freshly harvested.

Benefits to children

Organic offers the very best in nutrition for your children and often organic products are completely free from artificial colourings and preservatives.

Due to children's smaller, fast-growing speedy metabolisms, they are more vulnerable to toxins which can impact on their development and health.

By giving your children organic food, you are giving them the best chance in life, raising them healthy and strong.
